ABOUT AAN KHOSIHAN

Hi! My name is John. I am currently studying microbiology in a Master program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am originally from South Korea and have been studying abroad since 2010. I spent about a year for high school in Japan, obtained my bachelor’s degree in Biology in the US, and had an exchange semester in the UK. As you can tell from this, I really love to explore a variety of cultures. I have been incorporating cultural and language immersion into my academic immersion. This means that I have been studying local languages and cultures while getting a degree in the places mentioned above. Likewise, in Malaysia, I am learning science at school while learning Malaysian culture and languages outside of school. In other words, these are my goals in Malaysia: gaining a master’s degree and mastering different languages of Malaysia. I would also love to share my experiences abroad with others. I have been writing a blog in Korean for a couple of years. I recently started aYoutube channel (in English) to share my student life in Malaysia. Feel free to check it out!
