EDUCATION MALAYSIA GLOBAL SERVICES SUPPORTING THE RECOMMENDATION BY THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH ON RE-OPENING BORDERS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

On June 8, 2020, the Director-General of the Ministry of Health, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Ministry of Health (MOH) would propose that the country’s borders to be reopened if COVID-19 cases were controlled during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO). This is due to the opening of many key sectors in the country such as the social and economic sectors. The concept of “Green Bubble” needs to be explored where if the country has a good record as well as maintaining a green zone, consideration should be given. However, there are criteria and SOPs to follow.

According to Chief Executive Officer of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), Mohd Radzlan Jalaludin, EMGS fully supports this effort in re-opening the opportunity for international students to further their education in Malaysia. EMGS also believes that a stricter SOPs will be proposed to ensure the entry of these international students does not impede the efforts to break the chain COVID-19 outbreak.

EMGS welcomes the arrival of international students to Malaysia in line with the goal of making Malaysia as the preferred global education hub. The presence of international students will help to revitalize the nation’s economy.

EDUCATION MALAYSIA GLOBAL SERVICES MENYOKONG PENUH CADANGAN KEMENTERIAN KESIHATAN MALAYSIA BAGI PEMBUKAAN SEMULA SEMPADAN NEGARA UNTUK KEMASUKAN PELAJAR ANTARABANGSA

Pada 8 Jun 2020, Ketua Pengarah Kementerian Kesihatan, YBhg. Dato’ Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah berkata pihak Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) akan mencadangkan agar sempadan negara dibuka semula jika kes COVID-19 terkawal semasa Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP).
