TOKYO, JAPAN, 20th APRIL 2022 – Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) is paying a working visit to Tokyo, Japan starting from 19th to 21st July 2022, to establish and strengthen networking opportunities between the Malaysia and Japan higher education stakeholders. This working visit will give the opportunity to discuss various mutual interest issues to enhance strategic cooperation particularly on the international education sector with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports & Technology Japan (MEXT), Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO) and Yuai Islamic International High School Shibuya. With an effort to make ‘Study in Malaysia’ brand visible globally, EMGS is also organising the Study in Malaysia Global Alumni Networking Dinner in Japan to connect with the alumni who have studied in higher education institutions in Malaysia.
Malaysia is progressively becoming one of the most preferable study destinations for the international students from Japan. In addition, Japanese students continue to show their interest to pursue their study in Malaysia as the data from EMGS shows that more than 2,000 applications have been received based on the cumulative data from 2019 – 2022. After the easing of travel restrictions, EMGS was back on track to run physical events including international events. It is timely for EMGS to make ‘Study in Malaysia’ brand visible in Japan.
The Chief Executive Officer of EMGS, Mr. Mohd Radzlan bin Jalaludin said, “With the relaxation of the travel restrictions, EMGS is ready to welcome more international students to Malaysia particularly students from Japan.” “I am excited to be a part of this working visit to Tokyo to strengthen awareness and presence about Education Malaysia in Japan,” he concluded.
